Aleksandr M. Vinogradov

Aleksandr M. Vinogradov is a Karelian film director based in Brussels. In 2012 he made a short film “Five Steps of Butoh” about a dancer performing the contemporary Japanese dance butoh. In 2013 he started documentary Erasmus Mundus master program DocNomads. His graduation film “Call Me Chaos” was premiered at Visions Du Reel in 2016. The same year Aleksandr applied to LUCA School of Arts to the visual arts master program and graduated with a short hybrid film "UNDER THE DRESS" The film was also premiered at Visions Du Reel in 2019. In 2020 Aleksandr released his first feature documentary "BARE" about male nudity in visual arts. The film was premiered at The Canadian International Documentary Festival HOT DOCS, and later at DOCNYC (USA), DocEdge (New Zealand), Revelation Perth (Australia) and Tampa Bay International Gay and Lesbian Film Festival (USA). TLA Releasing group are now dealing with the distribution of the film. By these days Aleksandr is a resident in Brussels working on several feature movies and art projects.
