Julia Ernesti

Julia Ernesti, born in 1999 in Berlin, Germany, is a multifaceted artist and filmmaker. She began her artistic journey at a young age, attending theatre school and engaging in various art forms, including dance, literature, and ceramics. After a year in New Delhi, India, she returned to Berlin, where she excelled in German and Russian literature and graduated in 2017. Julia's passion for photography led her to collaborate with VOGUE photographer Patrick Citera. She ventured into film as a Project Manager at the Cinema for Peace Foundation, contributing to school screenings and Berlinale Gala preparations. Julia also worked as an actress and interned in the photo and film department at the "Röhr und Wenzel" agency. In 2018, she joined the kulturweit program, serving at a PASCH school in Nis, Serbia, and initiating photo and video projects with the Goethe Institute. Julia pursued her studies in TV and Film Directing at the Academy of Arts in Belgrade starting in 2019. Her photography and editorials gained recognition in publications like Photo VOGUE Italy, Kurz, and more. She delved into filmmaking with documentaries and featured in music videos. In 2023, her short feature film "Killing in a Vegan Way" earned a spot in the official selection of the Genève Awards. Throughout her career, Julia collaborated with international artists from various countries, showcasing her diverse artistic talents.
