Submit your films to “Merlinka“ Film Festival
The 11th International queer film festival “Merlinka” will be taking place from 5-8 December 2019 in Belgrade Youth Center – Belgrade, Serbia.
The main competition program of the festival will present only short queer films from all over the world produced in 2018 and 2019 (with possible exceptions). The films will be competing for Dorothy’s Slipper Award and money prize of 1000 USD. The festival’s main program will be accompanied by three side programs: Queer documentaries, Queer Featured films and Retrospective. The main focus of this year’s festival will be French queer cinema but this is not mandatory for official selection.
We invite film authors, as well as film arts students, to submit their films. The content of films submitted should be compatible with the festival’s framework (must be LGBTIQ-themed). Submission deadline is September 1, 2019.
Merlinka is non-profit festival and is organized by Gay Lesbian Info Centre (GLIC) in cooperation with Belgrade Youth Center.

Merlinka 11 – otvoren konkurs za filmove
Međunarodni festival queer filma „Merlinka“ počeo je da prima filmove koji konkurišu za takmičarsku selekciju na sledećem, jedanaestom po redu festivalu, koji će se održati od 5. do 8. decembra 2019. godine u Domu omladine Beograda.
Festival je posvećen filmovima koji se bave gej, lezbejskim, biseksualnim, transseksualnim, interseksualnim i queer temama. U takmičarskom programu biće prikazani kratki filmovi iz celog sveta, a stručni žiri će najboljem kratkom filmu dodeliti nagradu „Dorotina cipela“ i novčanu nagradu u vrednosti od 1000 dolara. Pored takmičarskog programa u okviru festivala biće prikazani prateći dokumentarni, igrani program i retrospektive.
Filmski stvaraoci, kao i studenti filmskih umetnosti, mogu da prijave svoje filmove, koji sadržajno spadaju u okvire festivala, do 1. septembra 2019. godine.
Festival organizuje Gej lezbejski info centar (GLIC) u saradnji sa Domom omladine Beograda.
