Lena i Celeste vole jedna drugu i očajnički žele da postanu majke. Jedne noći izlaze da nađu donatora sperme i da izaberu stranca sa kojim će začeti svoje dete. Te noći Celeste sreće Daria, mladića nezadovoljnim svojim životom kojim dominira njegova zaštitnički nastrojena majka. Taj susret će njihove živote prebaciti na drugi pravac, posebno Daria, koji će otkriti da on može učiniti nešto za sebe.
