Juan Aguilar je svoju praksu arheologa sticao na arheološkim nalazištima Iraka i Sirije da bi nakon toga specijalizovao arheološku fotografiju i digitalnu arheologiju radeći na iskopinama u Meksiku, Nikaragvi i Iraku. Pored studija snimio je i dva dokumentarna filma “A Better Road” i “Scanning the End”, kao i dva kratka igrana filmska ostvarenja “Override” i “Rejection”. Trenutno u Indiji radi na kratkom filmu o odrastanju.

Juan Aguilar, during his training as an archaeologist at Heidelberg University and the University of Bonn (both in Germany), excavated in Syria and Iraq, and later specialised in excavation photography and digital archaeology, working for projects in Mexico, Nicaragua and Iraq. In addition to his studies, he has been active as an independent filmmaker and has completed two documentary film projects, “A Better Road” and “Scanning the End”, and two fictional short films entitled “Override” and “Rejection”. He is currently working on a coming of age short film shot in India.
