A documentary that follows Mc Linn Da Quebrada, a black trans woman, performer and activist living in impoverished São Paulo. Her electrifying performances (with plenty of nudity) brazenly take on Brazil’s hetero-normative machismo.

Claudia has directed the feature films A Destruição de Bernardet (The Destruction of Bernardet, 2016), co-directed with Pedro Marques, selected for Locarno Film Festival, and awarded for Best Directon and Best Actor at Mix Brazil Festival 2016 and Special Mention at Queer Lisboa 2017; Leite e Ferro (Iron and Milk, 2010), which received the Best Documentary and Best Documentary Director awards at Paulinia Festival 2010; Olhe Pra Mim de Novo (Look at Me Again, 2011), co-directed with Kiko Goifman, which received the Special Jury Prize at Rio Film Festival 2011, Public’s Choice – Best Documentary at Mix Brasil Festival 2011, Honorable Mention at Tel Aviv International LGBT Film Festival and was also part of Panorama’s Official Selection, 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, where it stood among the three runner-ups for the Teddy Bear Award. Among her short films, Vestido de Laerte (Leg’s Out, 2012), co-directed with Pedro Marques, awarded as Best Short and Best Art Design at Brasilia Film Festival 2012; Phedra (2008); and Sexo e Claustro (Sex and Cloister, 2005), awarded by the ABD (Brazilian Association of Documentarians) at São Paulo International Short Film Festival 2005 and part of Panorama’s Official Selection at the 56th Berlin International Film Festival. She has also produced the films 33, Morte Densa (Dense Death) and Atos dos Homens (Acts of Men),directed by Kiko Goifman and exhibited at festivals like Locarno, Rotterdam and Berlin.
